Acorn User Atom Article Collection
Hi all, in case anybody is interested, I've collected all the Atom related articles I could find from the first three years or so of Acorn User magazine (i.e. until they stopped covering the Atom) into a single PDF. It's 155 pages/87mb big and I don't have any suitable web space, but if anybody is interested in a copy and can provide a way for me to get it to you (e.g. FTP), let me know.
(I'm ordered a copy in "book" form using DoxDirect btw.)
Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy,
Can you send it to me by WeTransfer.com? I can upload it to acornatom.nl so everyone who is interested can download it without bothering you.
Greetings,
Roland

The file can be downloaded from --- edit: hyperlink removed ---
It made no sense to zip it, so I left it as a pdf which makes it easier to download and read it on a tablet.
Enjoy reading!

Roland

Received now and thoroughly impressed with the result, for anybody that might be considering a PDF printing service. I also "did" hoglet's excellent 2013 Atom manuals and they came out brilliantly - a single A5 bound book for a tenner (plus postage).AndyGarton wrote: (I'm ordered a copy in "book" form using DoxDirect btw.)
Re: Acorn User Atom Article Collection
Thanks for that, very good effort. I noticed that many of the later items where contributed from the Netherlands, they must have sold a couple of Atoms over there........AndyGarton wrote:Hi all, in case anybody is interested, I've collected all the Atom related articles I could find from the first three years or so of Acorn User magazine (i.e. until they stopped covering the Atom) into a single PDF. However, having skimmed through it, I think there might be a couple of errors:
p101 of the PDF ends the ROM routines article (magazine page 130)
p102 of the PDF is an advert page (magazine page 131)
p103 of the PDF starts in the middle of a sentence (magazine page 134), so I suspect a page is missing ?
p125 of the PDF - the listing for 'Wordprint' is meant to be on magazine pages 109-111, not included.
Maybe you could scan these as an addendum, although it might be too late for those whove ordered printed copies ?
Cheers,

Thanks for that Phil, I'll correct as soon as I can - not surprised I cocked up as I was getting copy/paste blindness towards the end!

Re: Acorn User Atom Article Collection

It seems that PDF pages 103 and 104 are flipped, so there may not actually be a page missing (although I need to double check the originals still). But at least you have the full article (pages 133 and 134 from April 1984), just in the wrong order. The advert page is clearly an error, just not sure yet if it's instead of a valid article page.

Re: Acorn User Atom Article Collection
I've sent a corrected version to Roland just now.
I'm also in the process of doing a similar collection for Atom related articles from "Your Computer" magazine.

Hi Andy,
according to my Acorn User index list there are still some missing articles.
I marked them with 'x' in the attached index list.
Also an index list for Your Computer articles is included.
Greetings
Kees

Re: Acorn User Atom Article Collection
I've sent the "Your Computer" document to Roland, thanks to Kees's index it was a lot quicker and easier to do, so should hopefully contain less errors as well. It's 108 pages/97mb.
I'll do the AU additions next.

Re: Acorn User Atom Article Collection
AU additions now added and sent to Roland as V3 of the AU document. Now 193 pages/110mb. Hopefully that's it!
Re: Acorn User Atom Article Collection
Hi Andy, and others,
I have uploaded them to the Acorn Atom dot NL download:
-> http://www.acornatom.nl/download/YCAtomArticlesV1.pdf
-> http://www.acornatom.nl/download/AUAtomArticlesV3.pdf
The original AtomArticles are removed because I don't like to waste any bandwidth for both the one who downloads it and my own.
Greetings,
Roland
