Even apart from that, reading that description, there's no way I'd ever want to buy from that seller - sounds like abysmal customer service!

Well, that is pretty grim, my A5000 battery leak is like a tiny scratch compared to that, though for full scary battery leak hell, it's difficult to beat a Mac Classic or one of its siblings!!

Hopefully that battery is in the bin now and the goo is neutralised!!

Good luck repairing, I hope there isn't too much damage and it can be repaired.

I wonder if anyone here bought it for a "challenge"? #-o I agree, this is definitely the worst I've ever seen a Varta, for the case of the cell to have rusted away needs a lot of moisture...
