Re: LOLPRICE
It could run your central heating just by itself - switch on power up the fan and lovely warmth!

That UK101 must have belonged to a serious hobbyist. Look at all those meticulously made home brew expansions, and imagine trying to work out what they all do.
As to the price, it is proof that retro computer collectors are getting a bit silly. It had a 99p start price...

Nearly £500 for a vanilla A5000!
What is this seller taking? And the hard drive isn't even showing as working. Bet the battery has eaten the board as well.
Caveat emptor, methinks!

As possibly the ultimate LOLPRICE so far … the Watford Electronics dustcover for the BBC Micro … that went for £102...

(Discussion with friends and colleagues suggests that this might have been some kind of dodgy bidder … but even still!)

Re: LOLPRICE
Its a bit cheaper now! I bought an immaculate C64 breadbin (orange function key early model) from these guys when they were starting out - it was an absolute bargain! Guess they need to make money now.flaxcottage wrote: ↑Thu Jan 17, 2019 8:15 pmA3000 anybody? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Refurbished- ... rk:49:pf:0![]()

Re: LOLPRICE
I propose we no longer comment on the antics of our motorcycling friend. As flaxcottage says, his prices are expected. I suppose if he actually offered something for a realistic market price, that'd be worthy of comment...
