I never did like Mr. Do! in the arcades when I was a nipper. I had this on the Electron but never played it much. Here's a score to get me on the ladder though.

What's the deal with the EXTRA letters? I thought you might have to collect them, but they kill you!

You have to hit them with the ball or squash them. Collect one of each for an extra life - and advance to the next level.

Got to level 9 ... 93450

That's the nice thing about this game - plenty of ways to make points.

Make sure you get the hat (or is it a cake?) in the middle for 1000. Shoot the blue guys or crush them under apples.

Eat all the cherries in each block within the time span to get 500 for that block. Leave one cherry as an emergency exit level if things get too frantic.

Only downside is that it can slow a bit when there are a lot of enemies on the screen.

The more I play this, the worse I seem to get at it (must be taking more risks, I guess)! Bumped my score up to 61600:

An impressive conversion given the limitations of the beeb, but doesn't feel quite right compared to the arcade version. Still good, though.

98,900. Not as good as last time we played, but OK for starters.

Keep having to remind myself to watch out for the "Newton Effect" (having an apple drop on your head)

This is another favourite game of mine that I used to be quite good at.
Unfortunately the usual story follows...I'm crap at it now!
We'll see how this one goes

Another bump - but I feel guilty posting this one, as ~9,000 of those points occurred when one of the red Umphs pushed an apple from the top on to the long line of ones following me!

111750 - thanks to sheer luck and Umph stupidity!
