Post by pixelblip » Mon Jun 24, 2019 9:40 pm

Tried a little go at some Music 5000 stuff tonight.....put together some patterns.........using the sounds of the Music 5000....it's not exactly John Williams...but it's a start!

Nice. Perhaps play to a montage of your artwork. :)

Cool!

Now I have some motivation to connect and try my own M5000 (sitting on the shelf since the day I received it).

You have a 5000 on the shelf! What! Get it down immediately! That is a crime against humanity.

My track was a bit rubbish as I was in a rush but rest assured like the pictures the first one was a bit ropey......watch this space......I promise it will get better!

To be honest... I'm not sure where to start. I only have the unit - no ROMs or software (though I have downloaded them).

I can handle that. What I need is an idiot's guide to using the system, plus the time / space to set it up (at the moment my Beebs are on a shelf; the one with the ROM/RAM board has the beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep of Doom so needs fixing).

If you download the ample disc from PaulV's website, and you have sideways RAM, it'll load AMPLE straight into sideways RAM and start everything up :)
