Cambridge ABUG Giveaway

Post by Elminster » Mon Jun 24, 2019 7:52 pm

I made the mistake last year of taking all this stuff with me without telling people what it was. So this year I shall tell people what it is, and if they want it bring it. Will have to let me know quickly as it is in my offsite storage location. (Edit: All free, give a donation to the Museum if you like)

Pictures of said stuff, was all working when last used:

Recapped BBC Master PSU, I replaced with a Meanwell [Vectoreyes leading by a nose]
IMG_4443.png
Quad Ethernet Card
IMG_4444.png
Video upscaler, worked but preferred other ways [First dibs to Paul]
IMG_4446.png
Soldering iron number 2 (I have had about 5), you probably don't want to try doing SMD with it! Will do through-hole on a good day
IMG_4447.png
2 x 2GB Memory from an old iMac (not 8GB kit as it says on the box)
IMG_4450.png
Ultra SCSI Card + the LVD cable [Gone to a Zombie]
IMG_4451.png
Some Tapes and a Book
IMG_4453.png
More Tapes
IMG_4454.png
More tapes and a cassette recorder, think it needs a bit of TLC. Was a bit hit and miss [Player Gone to a Zombie]
IMG_4455.png
Helping hand anyone? [Diminished has raised a hand for this one]

Here is my little collection of 'for sale' items :)

The Electron stuff is classed as 1 item (Issue 4 so a socketed ULA, intro tape, user guide, PSU and RF lead -- I've only used an RGB scart cable)
IMG_3725.jpeg
Items not on the green craft mat are just 'photo-bombing' and are NOT included

Proceeds will go to the museum.

Best

I *really* would like the master PSU but I can't make Abug this year... If I can find someone who could collect could I have it?

And the helping hand would be nice but if someone else wants it that's fine!

I have too many projects now, but if someone has another master PSU and keyboard, they will fill two holes in my second master.

Hi Andy,

If you don't get any takers for the risc os 3 user and applications guide I'll take it off your hands if you're willing to post it out...

Well, you have snuck in before Tricky, but if you can find someone to take them from me on your behalf that is fine.

Stuff I can't get rid of at Cambridge, but people want I may post, but lead time is huge, due to practicalities and laziness, and may arrive in small pieces. Hence my preference for Cambridge.

I'll nab the Helping Hand if it turns out VectorEyes doesn't want it.

If the video upscaler is still going, could I nab that please?

I'm at Cambridge this weekend, so all is good!

Thanks,

Paul.

Assuming I don't go crazy getting and forget, that should be fine.

Take it. I'm more interested in the Master PSU to be honest!

Is there anyone going from London who might be willing to take a PSU back with them for me to collect? If not I shall beg Elminster to let me send him a padded self-addressed-and-prepaid box!

I also have some spare blank boards of the following types:

- RGBtoHDMI
- ICE header adapter (useful for programming Beebscsi with official programmer) https://atoomnet.net/atmel-ice-header-adapter/

You will need to source components yourself.

Okay hopefully I can catch the delivery person in time. They are due to deliver tape recorded today from my offsite storage.

Okay, both those items now retrieve.

But the giveaway is closed for now, as won't get chance to pick anything else up before saturday, will bring spare PCBs with me though in case people decide they want some.

I looked at the table and was tempted by the Z80 development kit chassis, but it would just sit in a cupboard for years.
