RetroClinic DataCentre SOLD

Post by LordVaderUK » Sun May 05, 2019 9:50 am

For sale, RetroClinic DataCentre, suitable for The BBC B, B+ and Master 128.

I bought this direct from Mark in February, but have found that I don't really have the time or space for retro computing so rather than it gathering dust, I'm putting it back up for sale here.

It has been briefly installed in my BBC B+, so you will need to add a power cable, but everything else is here including the short USB cable to provide a USB socket at the rear of your Beeb. Also included are the installation instructions, manual and utilities CD.

I paid just short of £80 (including P&P), but am happy to accept reasonable offers here in the thread or via PM from anyone interested. I will pay the P&P.

Thanks for looking.

Since Retroclinic has discontinued supplying these they will become eagerly sought after.

Good luck with the sale. I am sure you will have no problem selling it. :D

It'll certainly get put through its paces. there's very little room left in this beeb's case! :)

What’s in it?

Possibly silly question: any overheating problems?

If I had the skills!

Sadly I’m just a keen user. I do plan to teach myself soldering at some point.

Start daisy-chaining the 1mhz bus and stick in an econet interface :)

Yeah, I was going to say I could add a fair bit more, like econet, and a speech chip, and upgrade the 8271 with a 1770, and shove more 1mhz bus stuff in like a beebopl.

Right up until the psu gives up or there’s physically no more room!

My beeb is a mess inside as I’ve not routed the signal wires from the ram/Rom board under the mobo, nor the 1mhz bus cable to the DC or BeebSID. I’ve also not attached anything to the inside of the lid as I like being able to take the lid off without dismantling stuff. In fact, nothings been fixed permanently as I like being able to revert to stock if necessary :)
