u256 DRAM chips

Post by jonb » Fri Jan 11, 2019 9:25 am

Hi

A while ago I bought a bunch of u256 DRAM chips. They are supposed to be 4116 types (16kx1). I've tried to use them a few times and they've never worked. Has anyone been able to use these? They are (or were) quite common on eBay; cheap as well. False economy?

Sample listing: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/263643865277
Datasheet: https://www.tvsat.com.pl/pdf/u/u256_rft.pdf (in German, but the main points are clear enough)

Cheers

No.

After reading your previous comments, I stayed away from them...

Well, they don't seem to like the Superbrain, that is for sure!

Maybe I could send you a bank and you could try them?
