Not sure if this the right place, but Tim Street offers an ssd on his blog:
I recently discovered this awesome BBC BASIC program for simulating spider webs through natural selection. It was written by Matthew Tizard for the BBC Acorn User magazine October 1992.
Two programs, called ArtAuto and ArtLife.

This is very interesting...
running on PiZero copro 6502 it works great

On native ARM with BAS135 the scores are all negative causing the best iteration tending towards Zero and hence very small webs :D
