Had an amazingly good run (by my standards) and then lost all my lives(about 3) on the same level!
Ditto. I also thought this will give me a clear lead over fwibbler...

Let me guess......3rd level 2nd time around?

btw, your standards are good, that's a very good score.

You are both now in touch with the top scores, it's not much more effort to achieve those. It's just mostly getting through that 3rd level unscathed the 2nd time in order to achieve 50+ type scores.

Well done both of you.....

This is the kind of game that *. HSC is all about. I didn't really like this game much back in the day but I'm pushing myself to play even those games that I didn't like and have found some real gems once I caught onto the 'style' of play needed in order to achieve decent scores. It seem a few on her have done exactly that.

Cheers. For me it was actually the first screen the second time through. I'd had an absolutely blinding run hitting loads of enemies with fruit and then I threw it all away! I've completed that level once before but my score was nowhere near as good.

That first level, whether the first time around or 2nd I find to be the hardest level to complete. There are way more things that can go wrong that no matter how good your reflexes are, you will not be able to escape.

Hit the 60k mark, made it to level 4 second time around and accidentally dive bombed a bird so could go higher I guess.

I really wish that I had made the time to get a beeb setup for this, rather than spending my game time on trying to move windows to an ssd!
It was worth it in the end, but it seems I have missed a really good game. I think it came down to the brutality of the first level - I never completed it, I just couldn't settle into it.

You still have time to set up a Beeb for this Tricky, it's only Thursday, few more days yet.

Well, still not the highest score but not too bad, so close to topping up. Had one baddie to beat on level 1, 3rd round and I think I would have achieved 70k.

Nice score, Ed =D> I really have a soft spot for this game, really glad it got chosen, had another attempt and had one of those leap frog moments getting to level 3 3rd time around.

Not a bad conversion considering mode 2 limitations and beeb memory constraints, lots of moving sprites and I really like the sound. There are some annoying movement quirks but once known can be used effectively to 'play' the game

That's a great score FS (bows in humility). I know how hard that is to achieve. Wow, don't think you have to worry now. I've not enough time or skill to get my score much higher.

Almost forgot about this. Not played this version before... a pretty good conversion of an arcade game I never particularly liked in the first place.

Token last-minute effort:
