vidc1 256 colours - custom palette ?

Post by garfield » Sat Sep 15, 2018 9:29 am

Hello archie people,

I know that the early Archimedes machines have major restrictions on selecting a 256 colour selection from the 4096 available choices.

I would like to see a palette which has a better (larger) selection of salmon skin tones / olive skin tones. Could you help outline what specific values you would suggest for setting the VIDC1 colour registers to allow for this?

Thanks, I'd seen that thread before but the voodoo over subselecting colour bits is still not clear to me.

I guess I am looking for a recipe where red in the dominant choice, followed by blue then by green...
