I probably will be watching the match but I am not proposing to watch the hype before hand or the endless analysis afterwards. The pundits have quite enough time in between the two halves to chinwag. Until kickoff I am listening to music and staying away from media that may choose to speculate about the match.

Unfortunately I was already booked, and who expected England to reach semi’s. I will watch replay if we win and I won’t if we lose.

Apparently, there have been lots of trains cancelled tonight due to "illness". How strange!

I'll be glad when all this is over - it's tiresome. All people talk about at work is football, football, football. England must have had the easiest World Cup in history - they've played one decent team, and that was in a match that didn't really count (Belgium).

I'm anything but a football fan, but I've quite enjoyed this little stint :)

Ditto. I only watch foot when Euro or World cup finals on. Always preferred to do sport rather than watch it.

Most boring thing ever.

I think the tennis is good for that kind of watching. Actually, ladies tennis is more interesting to watch as a game and not just for watching the players. Men's tennis when I last saw it was dominated by the service with a high proportion not returned which is pretty boring. It's more interesting if there is a rally.

On the football I am not a great watcher of it, I made an exception for the England games in the word cup. I think to be into a game one of the teams has to be "your team" and I simply don't feel that with a team that happens to be based in my home town but where the players are professionals from all over the world.
