Port of the Acorn Atom to the MiST FPGA board

Post by oss003 » Wed Mar 08, 2017 10:10 pm

Hi guys,

I think this site was mentioned before about a BBC port for an FPGA board called MiST.
This is a custom board with a Ep3C25E144 FPGA developed by GehStock.

There are many cores for this board and I also noticed an Acorn Atom port:
https://github.com/Gehstock/Beta-Cores/ ... m_Mist.rbf

The keyboard emulation isn't working for the Acorn Atom, that's why this port is still in the beta_core repository.

Greetings
Kees

I'll be impressed if they have managed to implement AtoMMC!

I just had a quick look for the sources, but they don't seem to be online.

I don't know if the AtoMMC is implemented but there is code to read FATdata from the SDcard:

It's a port of my Ice40Atom, here are the MiSTer sources:

I have just registered to say thank you for all your fpga work.
I am just finishing a port of the system 1 (my first computer) based on the Ice40 verilog code.
it has the keyboard controlled by mouse and left button. The display is a difficult to read as the original.
I have used a 6522 instead of the INS8154 using the conversion details obtained from this site.
I used the VHD 6522 from AtomFPGA as I could not get the 6522.v to work.
This is probably due to my skills (lack of) in verilog/VHD

Again thank you
