DataCentre RAMFS 1.04 Issues

Post by hoglet » Sun Feb 26, 2017 7:35 am

Hi all,

Hopefully Mark (RetroClinic) or someone else with source access to RAMFS can help here.

A friend has just bought a DataCentre and was trying to boot Panos from RAMFS (so it could eventually be installed on ADFS).

Panos doesn't boot from RAMFS, and complains of a corrupt system image.

After a bit of debugging, it appears RAMFS 1.04 doesn't correctly load files longer that 64KB; the highest byte of the length is ignored.

Is this a known issue, and is there anything we can do to get it fixed?

Dave

Yes, this is a known issue as RAMFS is based on DFS 0.90 which doesn't load files longer than 64K. It's on my list of things to look at.
