Ah ha! You were the one who beat me on that auction. Well done, dude. =D>

When you check the disks can you see if there is a Notts C C disc of software for the Archimedes in there?

"That auction"... well, both of them!

The majority of the disks are fonts, clipart and MyWorld screens. I haven't seen anything with Notts CC referenced on the labels, but they're all handwritten anyway.

Here are some of the disk labels, in no particular order --

Interesting. The thought did occur today, given the number of beebs I seem to be acquiring, "maybe I should set up an econet" As opposed to "maybe I should sell one" which is what I probably should do.

Interested to know your planned setup please?

I've fallen at the first hurdle with my Master. CTRL+N doesn't load ANFS. The ROM shows up with *ROMS, but not with *HELP. Confused.

Brian Aldiss (one of my favourite classic SF writers) Science Fiction Quiz.

Both cassettes load great on my Electron, although I haven't played all 20 quizzes yet.

Looks to be written in BASIC so might stick it on a floppy disk for ease of playing :-)

Sounds about the right number...

2 here so far 1 master ram and other already has the ULA socket doctored for future upgrade, 2x plus 1, plus 3 rom/ram and 2nd drive adapter, AP6, MGC, SD cartridge, SD expansion port, elk data recorder

AP5 to be added on next run and hopefully an ultimate upgrade or Ultra ULA as I like to call it when they are avail.

Amiga 500. Boxed, with mouse and load of manuals/discs. Plus 3 month warranty. It's a bit much when Cash Converters is cheaper than Ebay!

It's a bit yellow and dirty, so it's in the process of being stripped down for a thorough clean, which also revealed an unadvertised 512Mb memory expansion.

That's the Amiga itch scratched. :D

An Atari 520STE with 1mb of RAM and an external floppy drive Lots of joysticks and a bunch of dead Atari mice and a box full of floppy disks, a fair few of them are originals and there are a few ST Format cover disks thrown in for good measure.

There is also a Fast BASIC ROM cartridge. I had an Atari ST back in the day and to this day had never had any cartridges until now.

A MiSTer FPGA unit, nicely expanded with memory and I/O board.
Mister.JPG
It runs lots of cores of many (early) eighties arcades, retro computers and early consoles. Including a BBC model B and and Arc. What triggered me to get one was my frustration when I found that some of my favourite emulators no longer run on W10. I realised that it is not unlikely that in a another decade enthusiasm may well have faded to a point that emulators will no longer get updated. Amiga and C64 will probably be the last to go...

That said I also believe that this nice MiSTer hardware will die before the original hardware dies; modern electronics are simply too fragile and sensitive to decay. Nothing can kill an Atom...

Anyway, I had a blast playing Atari ST games, just had to beat my 10 year old son at Super Sprint 8) .
