Amstrad CPC's

Post by Colday » Sat Aug 10, 2019 5:31 pm

Hi all.

If anyone needs any help with Amstrad CPC's then let me know.

I have 2x 6128's and 2x 464's. (664's are just too damned expensive at the moment)

One of the 464's is my 'experiment' as I've hooked up a minidisc player to the tape deck input and then I record the game sounds to the mini discs which means I get the 'retro' sounds and load times (not sure that's a plus) but with the digital media.

Yes I know I could hook up an MP3 player or similar, but I like having the games on something I can actually touch.

I've been starting to photoshop the game covers to print onto stickers that I can pop onto the minidiscs.

Not succeeded totally yet, but then, I'm quite lazy so no big surprise.

Cheers
BBC B's... I had five but was stupid when young and skipped them. (Yeah I know)
Now have an Issue 7 B with a few issues I'm working through.
Also have a dual disk drive (only one works at the moment) but no disks.
Retro computers.... money pits.

664's will always be expensive. Not many made.

But what I really want to find is a CPC472.

I've recently acquired a nice 464 so I'll let you know how I get on, Col.

I remember playing Gauntlet and Harrier Attack (came bundled with it, IIRC) on my mate's machine and another lad I know coded a newsagent paper round delivery system for it... not sure if it ever got marketed properly but our local paper shop used to use it (until it blew away in strong winds one day.... LOL / groan... forgive the joke...yep, got it from a Xmas cracker!) :P

Cheers, all.

Baz.
