Studio 8 manual

Post by aerworuld » Thu Jan 31, 2019 10:32 am

Hey all, how's tricks?

Forgive me if I have missed this somewhere, but I'm searching for a manual for Studio 8 on the Master/Beeb; does anyone have a linky for any scans? If it hasn't been archived I'd be happy to purchase one off anyone who has a spare kicking about and then scan it in for posterity.

Stu :-)

Pernod might be the only person on Stardot to have ever mentioned Studio 8 before you did!:
Wonder if he has a copy of the manual..?

Sorry, don't think I've ever seen the manual. I'm surprised no one else has ever mentioned it though as it was a decent music package.

Studio 8 was so far out!
I'd forgotten about it and recently discovered it by mistake and thought 'ahhhh' I remember that all those years ago....it has the coolest interface and was way ahead of it's time. I can't believe all the features in it. It would be so fun if it work with Music 5000 or midi!

Thanks for the responses guys; it does indeed look like an awesome piece of software!

Dave, that would be awesome; thank you! I would be very happy to do a good scan of the manual if you could loan it to me. I'll DM ;-)

Well I am trying to work out Studio 8 but it is a bit cryptic! It's so cool though.
When you can get the manual scanned it would be most appreciated.
Thanks a lot

Stuart has scanned and returned the manual and I've temporarily uploaded his scans here, which comprise several PDF files totalling ~850Mb:
www.stairwaytohell.com/temporary/studio ... l_pdfs.zip

As they're rather large, would anybody out there be willing to look at condensing them into a single PDF of much smaller size?

I appear to have a Beebugsoft software demonstration disk somewhere and it mentions Studio 8.

It also plays a version of Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles. All in glorious MODE 7 block graphics.

Anyone else have this? I can hopefully find a copy if anyone wants one.
Just remember kids, Beeb spelled backwards is Beeb!

I love this sort of challenge, here's my effort... 16mb, but pretty clear & clean if I say so myself .
I've no tools to bung into a pdf, but here are the images.
