Raspberry Pi interfacing with BBC BASIC at London user group / Mon 21st May 2018

Post by helpful » Sun May 06, 2018 12:40 am

The next meeting of the RISC OS User Group Of London will be:

Raspberry Pi interfacing with BBC BASIC, presented by Andrew Conroy, Owl Art Un Ltd
Monday 21st May 2018, 7.45pm
The Blue Eyed Maid, upstairs in the restaurant
173 Borough High Street, SE1 1HR

Andrew Conroy will be familiar as the helpful voice on the end of the phone at CJE Micros. But at this month's meeting he will showing off what he gets up to in his spare time!

Andrew will be bringing along a collection of Raspberry Pi interfacing projects that he has produced, including an MP3 player, vu-bars, sensors, LED rings, games and more. He will show how to control these devices through GPIO using simple BBC BASIC programs.

As a sample of what to expect, here's Andrew's stand at the recent RO South West show
ROUGOL's venue is easy to reach by public transport from in and around London and the south east:
- 2 minutes walk from Borough tube station
- 5 minutes walk from London Bridge station
- 10 minutes from Waterloo (two stops eastbound on the Jubilee line to London Bridge)
- 20 minutes from Euston and Kings Cross/St Pancras (southbound on the Bank branch of the Northern Line to Borough)

ROUGOL meetings take over the pub's upstairs restaurant for the evening. Entry is free, food & drink plentiful (but not free!).

Bryan.

Really keen to come to this one.
There is so much wonder in the universe; why should you want to imagine that there is more?
