That depends on whether I can stay in the top three ;)

Oh I thought that was by design.. I quickly learned NOT to try and shoot them if I was one space to the left of a mushroom on the level above...

(you also die if you don't kill them if you wait in that position. That's by design though, yeah?)

Actually, if you take the score, divide by 10 and multiply by 2, you have good starting scores for people.

Edit: x3 might even be better. That way the score will not be out of reach but will remain challenging.

How about leave the top score as is, divide the second by 2, the third by 3, and so on?

Final High Score Table updated for Centipede......

The first thing I'd like to do is say how proud I am of our community. You all stepped up to support a really good programmer doing some serious testing and critique, now that's unity of purpose. It's been a while since we've had 12 players in a round so congratulations go out to each and every one of you.

Secondly, this game is really excellent and we can thank Tricky for bringing it to our playing modules, whether it's a bit of hardware or emulator. It plays great on both.

Thanks very much Tricky, this is a really great game and I'm sure with the suggested changes being made, Centipede will be at or near the top of the list for every Beeb gamer to play.

So, having said that, today,
MatthewThompson played really well and secured first place after 1 week of play. Very nicely done Matt and congratulations... =D> =D> =D>

Was a nice little game, one where there was no point where I kept getting stuck or couldn't get past a certain level.

Shame the top score doesn't count towards the season overall high score.

Are you happy with these names and scores?
I have two more scores, which if submitted will replace COL and SYD, sorry, but I did only promise the top seven :(
I still have to "fix" the dying on the bottom row and high-score saving which I seem to have broken!

Looks like my score of 40,302 on page 2 was missed? And "JOOLSH" is fine.

If there is room, as I am still waiting for a couple of scores.
