BBC Sub Hunt from Betasoft wanted

Post by Michael Brown » Fri Feb 23, 2018 9:27 am

Hi all,
Does anyone have a BBC B tape version of Sub Hunt by Betasoft?
Or the BBC version of War At Sea, which also featured Blockade (which I have).
Both games were by Philip Coulson.

thanks,
Mick.

I don't have this any more, but here's a WAV file I recorded in April 2014:
http://www.stairwaytohell.com/recording ... Stereo.wav

I don't think the recording was particularly good and IIRC I wasn't able to create a UEF using the old v0.3 software, so it might not be much use - but I'd be interested to know if anybody has any joy creating a working UEF/CSW etc.

Is it worth contacting pigdog and seeing what he world take for the 3 Betasoft titles including delivery to Col?
All 3 were recently unsold on eBay at an asking price of £9.99 plus p&p each.

Lee.

I'm not sure if we need to buy anything - all games are already available online?

UEF and SSD of Battle of Britain already on STH.
UEF for Subhunt may be decipherable from the WAV above (Peter? Col?).
SSD for Blockade already on STH.

DaveE has all three cassettes I believe and scans are on E.G.G. We could ask him to record WAVs if you want CSWs and HQ.UEF versions I guess?

Also did you know War At Sea (Electron compilation with Blockade and Subhunt) has an SSD available at E.G.G.?

in the fight club part :
me wrote: the compilation, does it have Blockade & Sub Hunt?? :?: o
found answer myself
http://www.everygamegoing.com/egg/landi ... War-At-Sea
so DaveE does have it, & does indeed have :
Contents: Blockade (Beebug) and Subhunt (Beebug)

so can 'we' confirm the two titles by Paul on eBay are not needed!! :?
before I message him & or bid on them for £11.24 a pop :!:

answer before 21/2/18 Wed @ 8:53pm
.
.
.
then :
just tried the d/l on EGG, & the first title Blockade only works on Elkulator 1.0 (M128 says err Line 100 with E00 page)

Subhunt works !
