Created in December 2017... here is Games Disc 118.
Disc118.zip
(109.31 KiB) Downloaded 153 times
The disc is called Disc118.dsd so it can be loaded into a Datacentre on a real BBC without having to rename it.

The 18 games on this disc include...

Sqwhere? from The Micro User (2.06).
World War I from M. C. Lothlorien.
Connect Four from Your Computer (4.03).
Road Racer from The Micro User (2.04).
Pontoon from Beebug (3.04).
Planetfall from ASP Software.
Christmas Lights (Christmas Crackers) from The Micro User.
Aces High from Beebug (8.04).
Othello from Your Computer (3.09).
Christmas Box from The Micro User (4.10).
Know Your Own Psi-Q from Mirrorsoft (Ivan Berg).
767 Advanced Flight Simulator from Flightdeck Software.
Simon (Games Compendium B1) from Salamander Software.
Santa And The Snowman from The Micro User (5.10).
The White Barrows from ASP Software.
Reversi from Beebug (2.06).
Snow Plough! (Christmas Crackers) from The Micro User.
Paras (AKA Paranoids) from Acorn User (#026).

NOTE: World War I has had the Shift Lock key changed to Caps Lock in order to work with a QWERTY keyboard. It also allows you to save your score/position to disc.
Also, Know Your Own Psi-Q allows you to save your data to disc.

EASTER EGGS: If you press ESCAPE during some of the loaders and instructions, then you can skip to loading the game... This only works on 767 Advanced Flight Simulator.

All original filenames have been kept where possible, but some have been changed where they conflict with the limitations of the Disc Filing System. Copy protection routines have been removed.
This disc has also been checked for *KEY related issues and is OK.

Regards,
Mick.

Created in January 2018... here is Games Disc 119.
Disc119.zip
(154.94 KiB) Downloaded 10 times
The disc is called Disc119.dsd so it can be loaded into a Datacentre on a real BBC without having to rename it.

The 18 games on this disc include...

4-Site from The Micro User(4.03).
Rat Race (RAM) from STL.
Killer Dice from Beebug (2.07).
3D Noughts And Crosses (Compox) from The Micro User (3.05).
Backgammon from Your Computer (4.09).
Curly! from Beebug (9.06).
Jackpot! from The Micro User (3.06).
Blackjack from Your Computer (5.03).
Colour-Cube (Games Of Deduction) from Bevan Technology.
Royal Wedding from The Micro User (4.05).
Apocalypse from Red Shift Ltd.
Emperor from Molimerx Limited.
Duel from The Micro User (2.09).
Twiddle from Beebug (8.05).
Entrapment from Computer & Video Games.
Fred The Needle by Jubbernaut.
Reversi from BBC PD (Games #5).
Orbit by ???

NOTE: Rat Race is loaded from disc but is then stored as a ROM image (so you must have a spare bank of Sideways RAM available for it to work).
Also, Apocalypse is the tape version but has been amended to work from disc and you can save your score/position to disc. It resets the disc drive (so requires *DTRAP on a real BBC Micro with a Datacentre fitted).

EASTER EGGS: If you press ESCAPE during some of the loaders and instructions, then you can skip to loading the game... This only works on Apocalypse.

All original filenames have been kept where possible, but some have been changed where they conflict with the limitations of the Disc Filing System. Copy protection routines have been removed.
This disc has also been checked for *KEY related issues and is OK.

Regards,
Mick.

Is Apocalypse posted on the disk as an alternative version?
You're aware that http://www.stairwaytohell.com/bbc/archi ... ommand.zip is the same game, but a native disk version which requires no amendments and has more scenarios to play...

Hi Bill,

The version of Apocalypse I have included is the Red Shift tape copy, but I have borrowed the disc fix from the larger Command Software version and added that to it.
I have tried to create a version that is as close to the tape version as possible.

regards,
Mick.
