Wanted: ready to run, on Mac & Win, H2testw - SD card test

Post by daveejhitchins » Sat Dec 30, 2017 10:31 am

As most people will know :? I'm not good when dealing with anything that involves the "command line" on Windows or Mac OS!

I need to test a few (lot!) of 1GB Micro SD cards. I'd like to use H2testw, however, it needs compiling. I've tried, honest, but failed miserably

If someone could compile these for me, Please [-o< I'd be ever so grateful =D> :)

Okay, so this isn't what you asked for, but have you tried installing the Homebrew package manager and then using that to install F3 (a Mac alternative to H2testw)?

I'm bad at manually compiling stuff on the Mac too, and I find that Homebrew is a good way to avoid it!

Can recommend this as well - my DSLR has a habit of seemingly "mangling" SDHC cards to a point where the camera itself and Windows cannot/will not read or reformat them - somehow, this little prog does the trick nicely, and 'revives' the card so it's not chucked away.

@Lurkio - OK, installed HomeBrew OK (I think!) - F3 install was "brew install F3" Did something  - But none of the F3 commands seem to work

What do you get when you do this?:
What do you get when you just enter the command f3read on its own?

Have you tried this instead?:
