Hi guys,

I've just added updates for Atomulator to support the GDOS-2015 floppy controller. What format do I need to submit patches in. At the present time I have only got it compiling on windows, but will update for Linux. Someone else will have to do Macos, as the Mac that I have at home will only run OSX 10.6.....

I'm also just for completeness planning on adding a RAM config option so that with RAMROM disabled you can set the amount of base RAM I was thinking of the following configs :

1K, very basic Atom, just 1K in the bottom of RAM. #0000-#03ff
6K, basic Atom with all on motherboard base RAM filled, above plus #2800-#3BFF.
9K, basic Atom with 6K motherboard and 3K DOS as above plus #2000-#27ff and #3C00-#3fff
25K basic Atom + DOS + 16K from #4000-#7fff

And of course RAMROM for the full 32K.

What do people think?

Cheers.

Phill.

You can find/download the latest Atomulator files at https://github.com/hoglet67/Atomulator
If you send Dave or me the changed files, we can upload them to Github.
Maybe Dave can authorize you to upload the files yourself.

This is a good idea to test programs on a non expanded Atom.

Yep I downloaded the zip archive from there and merged my changes into it....I've been meaning to do that for a while, I made the changes back over the summer whilst I was porting ADOS to the 1770, much easier to work with an emulator than real hardware, especially whilst on holiday in Wales :)
I have added some menu options to allow selecting of the 1770 based controller or the original Atom one, and to select the rom bank from the board.

That was exactly what I was thinking.....

Ok, I'll implement the memory selection and then submit some files.....

Cheers.

Phill.

Please check the versions because I updated Atomulator in Github to v1.25 not so long ago.
The problem was that a memorydump at #0A00 returns #FF even when the diskcontroller is disabled.

For the Linux version, you should self compile the v1.27 code. Typical instructions (Ubuntu 14.04 64bit):

Check you have a c/c++ compiler

Code: Select all

gcc -v
g++ -v
if not, download and install:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install build-essential
download git

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install git
get the Allegro 4 libraries

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install liballegro-dev
get the dependencies

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install zlib1g-dev
sudo apt-get install libopenal-dev
sudo apt-get install libalut-dev
clone the code from github

Code: Select all

cd
git clone https://github.com/hoglet67/Atomulator
compile

Code: Select all

cd Atomulator/src
make -f Makefile.linux
run

Code: Select all

cd ..
./Atomulator
