Forum rules
You're welcome to trade Acorn-related stuff with other forum members here - the rule of thumb to follow when trading, is that items or services offered should be of interest to our Acorn community. Do NOT use multiple accounts - please trade with your regular (and only) forum account. If you're giving items away, please make it clear if you would be unhappy with the recipient selling on some or all of the items. Similarly, please ensure that the giver is comfortable with you re-selling items you have accepted as a gift. We cannot be held responsible for what happens in these trading forums or for deals done via PM. This must be done at your own risk. If you aren't comfortable with this - make the trade via an alternative site which can apply safeguards of their own. Be sensible - if someone approaches you to trade via PM who is not posting in the public forums, this may be a sign that they are not entirely what they seem. Please report it to the moderators if you receive an unsolicited message from anyone suspicious, so that it can be investigated and hopefully stop anyone being taken advantage of.

Hi All,
I'm looking for either a PRES AP4 or a Slogger Pegasus or equivalent.
Doesn't have to come with a drive as I can source those locally.
Cheers,
Neil.
EDIT: OK so after reading about Prime's RAM/ROM board I will also be looking for a nice example of a Plus 3

Re: Wanted: Disk Drive for Electron
or, with a Plus3, you can throw the ADFS1.00 rom out the window / use as shoe grip
and blow this to eprom:
http://www.stairwaytohell.com/roms/Elec ... 0-2.00.zip
and can confirm works super
, but PAGE will be at &1900 like the beeb.
so with Phill's super wooper board, you get DFS &E00
....no need for ADFS, as reading your Welcome post, you and me will get on just fine, along with other superior members, you know who you are

And if you're not interested please let me know and I'll buy it. But you probably want it more than I do and I don't want to compete with a fellow StarDot member.

Thanks guys, I've asked the seller if it is still available. I'll keep you posted.

Re: Wanted: Disk Drive for Electron
It is the one that is also on eBay, which I have already enquired about.
They are selling a collection of stuff on someone's behalf due to what I can only assume is a death. They have limited access to the place where all the items are stored.
I asked them to check if the PSU was there next time they went to the place but they came back to tell me they couldn't find it so it is being sold without a PSU.
I have now got a PRES Plus 3 interface so not in as much of a need for a Plus 3 but when the right one comes along I will buy it.

Re: Wanted: Disk Drive for Electron
IIRC There's someone on Amibay who has the PSUs for sale (afaik you can probably get away with a DC laptop supply too), so you should go for it anyway if you're still after a plus 3!

I got a similar answer when I informed about that Plus3. IMHO one should not offer one object on multiple auction sites
I did not bid on the Ebay auction, yet.

Re: Wanted: Disk Drive for Electron
OK guys, how do I close a Wanted thread?
I picked up a PRES AP3 off eBay on Christmas Day and I have just today had my offer accepted for an Elk, Acorn Plus 1, Acorn Plus 3, amber monitor, tape deck, tapes, cartridges and books for €40!!!
It looks a bit discoloured but I have a full set of what I was after and a spare Elk!
Any tips on explaining to your girlfriend why even more hardware is coming into the house?

Got what you want? Then edit your first post and change the title
Don't tell your girlfriend/partner if you can smuggle it in without being seen
Or try: tell your girlfriend/partner that you needed just one of the items to replace one of yours that is faulty, but that you got a good price and it would be a shame to dispose of the other items, as they are difficult to get at the price you paid.
Failing that, offer to buy her some new shoes

Wait - ive been gazumped. That's the problem with Marktplaats.nl if the seller gets a better offer, he can change his mind.

Now you'll need to contact PRIME and ask for one of his RAM/ROM boards for your Acorn Plus 3 - They're a must!-B- wrote:UPDATE: seller has honoured my bid that he accepted and I pick it up tomorrow night
