WTD - A3010 4MB RAM upgrade or RAM chips

Post by philpem » Sun Jun 08, 2014 11:59 am

Hi there,

A few of you might be aware of my attempts to repair an A3010... Long story short, it's had a battery leak, I've repaired the damage, but it seems one or both of the RAM chips has failed.

I'm looking for one of the following --

A 4MB RAM upgrade for an A3010, of the type which bypasses (disables) the on-board RAM

A couple of HM514260JP-8, HM514260JP-7 or equivalent 256k*16 (4Mbit) DRAMs - at least two, but preferably four. These are the "SOJ" package surface-mount chips, not the plug-in ZIP ones.

Does anyone have either of the above available, or perhaps know of a source?

There are a few ZIP-packaged RAMs (which would be fine if I was upgrading the RAM!) on ebay, but the SOJ-packaged ones appear to be quite thin on the ground... :(

Thanks!
Phil.
