I used a Windows program tool called DFS Explorer:
http://www.g7jjf.com/dfs_explorer.htm
Written by Jon Welch, cost approx £5.

Or you could just load it into BeebEm, and *DUMP the file.

*DUMP IEEEROM

this show the contents of the file.

it's only 8k, as the 2nd half is just a mirror of first half.

Thanks guys, that's all useful info.

Looks like my work here is done, as benefactor to lonely rom-less Procyon IEEE users everywhere, then...

Hope everyone can get their interfaces working with this now :D

Not that I have an interface, but thanks to everyone for saving the software =D> =D> =D>.

Many, many thanks to all involved! =D>

That's one more piece of history saved. I'll dig out my Procyon eventually and see if I can talk to something... Perhaps an HP 51/4" IEEE-488 floppy drive...

If we really want a challenge, Procyon produced a second ROM that allowed usage of Commodore PET (& likely 64) IEEE-488 drives I.e a driver for the PET file system.

What are the odds of finding this, I wonder... [-o<

Or, perhaps a copy of a Procyon manual...

Perhaps the CBM routines are are within the ROM, will have to look for clues in the image...

"The CST PROCYON opens a lot of doors to your BBC microcomputer - lifting it
right out of the "home computer" league. The CST PROCYON provides full
IEEE 488 interface, enabling your BBC micro to operate professional plotters
and printers, frequency counters, voltmeters, disc drives etc, and to communicate
with other IEEE-ported machines, such as Commodore, Sirius, Osborne,
Hewlett-Packard or Tectronix computers.

The CST PROCYON comes with a highly efficient IEEE filing system, supplied
in EPROM, and responds to any high level language, including LISP, FORTRAN,
FORTH, APL and BASIC. A specially-written Commodore data-exchange
routine, allows you to link your BBC micro to CBM machines and disc drives.
At 70k bytes of information per second, the CST PROCYON channels data
quickly and efficiently between up to sixteen devices, responding to standard
system commands as well as specialised filing instructions. Its capabilities are
fully documented in a straightforward but comprehensive manual. Isn't it time you started taking your BBC micro seriously? "

Has anyone done anything interesting with this?

Any success with HP or Commodore IEEE-488 floppy drives?

The existing Procyon ROM discussed in the thread appears to be version 1.92?

I believe that I have just stumbled across a 1.98 ROM here:

Looks like a reasonable price ... ? Buy It Now ?

Or you've already got one and want a friend with one? :D

EDIT: no, I'm getting completely confused, you were after the ROM for this. Think I was mixing it up with someone after a 68000 unit. Or something.  ](*,) :-$ :-# Wanders off mumbling to self ...
