I am currently out, though if I get a PCB order placed I could have more in 3 weeks or so.

I'm a bit curious how other people have build in the AtoMMC or do we all have just plugged in the cable and that's it? I'd like to see some pictures of nice and tidy build in AtoMMCs please.

I don't want to make new holes in my blue Atom so I'm looking for ideas.

I always imagined the sd card carrier stuck to the back of the case with double-sided foam tape or similar.

I have received a new set of PCBs. I will build a few boards in the coming week - please PM me if you want one. There isn't a shortage so speed is not of the essence..!

So I have many boards! Yaay! And my Atom has died! Naaaay :(

I don't think I will get the machine sorted out before ABUG so I might have to just work things out there...

I'm just awaiting some mailing boxes which should be here by Monday then I'll be taking solid orders.

I will start a waiting list in the first post and ship out in order of expressed interest.

Charlie,

Wim brought 3 AtoMMC boards from Cambridge home but by none of the boards the leds are flashing.....
If he connects the new SD-boards to an older AtoMMC, the leds are flashing so the hardware is ok.

Can you check if the led control is broken in the new software?

Greetings
Kees

I will check. The firmware was uploaded at ABug, and the LEDs were working before then so I think there is a possibility for something having gone wrong at that point. I can check here.

I just updated my 2 year old AtoMMC to the 2.C firmware that we built in Cambridge and the green LED still shows activity.

For reference this is the firmware we built:

Hi Wim,

I see you deleted your post from last night.

Did you sort your "ERROR 48" issue with *CFG?

I just tried and was not able to reproduce this on my system (with the same firmware build)

I deleted it because I almost sorted it out with Kees...

Last night (evening) we managed to make one work again:

LINK #AFCC
*CAT

And then after a BREAK, ACORN ATOM + ATOMMC2 appeared in the screen again... :D

Sadly this didn't work on my 2 other AtoMMC2´s... :(

But this is what I wrote:

Hi,

I've almost finished upgrading my ABM Atom... :D

I thought it's now time to do *CFG 80 so if I put the current on it will pop right away in the game menu...

Nope, just: COM? (enter) ERROR 48...

The ACORN ATOM +ATOMMC2 in the screen has disappeared, whatever I do the screen says only, ACORN ATOM...

Also *CFG C0 gives a ERROR 48...

So now I have 3 of these,,, any ideas? :(

Greetings, Wim... :-)

I tried the same trick with the malfunction MMC´s in my ABM Atom:

LINK #EFCC or #AFCC (I don´t remember)
*CAT

and yes, they are all working again, even the green led´s are flashing again... :D

Greetings, Wim... :-)

Do you or Kees have any idea what's going on here?

My understanding was the #A000 version of AtoMMC could be problematic with initialisation as it relied on an interrupt. But that shouldn't be a problem with the #E000 version.

I'm just a bit worried I have somehow introduced a bug into Charlie's firmware.

Dave
