Sticking with Sinclair how about a sealed, new unused ZX81?

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sinclair-ZX81-V ... Ciid%253A1

I'm sure I have some bags that look like that...
BBC model B 32k issue 4, 16k sideways RAM, Watford 12 ROM board, Viglen twin 40/80 5.25" discs, Acorn 6502 coproc

Hmm, did they even have those self-seal bags back then :-k. The manual looks fairly well used, and back then, 13A main plugs were not supplied with most items, including Sinclair computers. So if the ZX81 was "sealed" in a bag (keeping in mind that I don't think Sinclair used sealed bags for computers) and unused, why would you have fitted a mains plug to the PSU...

my unused zx81 looks rather different, no uk plug on it for sure. Or a nice modern bag. Or as allround ropey looking!

the WOW gives it away:)

Dodgy Beeb (might be a simple fix - dodgy ROM board?) but with a boxed 6502 coprocessor:-

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Acorn-BBC-Micro ... Ciid%253A2

That's almost rare!
BBC model B 32k issue 4, 16k sideways RAM, Watford 12 ROM board, Viglen twin 40/80 5.25" discs, Acorn 6502 coproc
BBC model B 32k issue 7, turboMMC, Opus Challenger 3 512k, Pi 3 coproc
BBC Master, Datacentre + HDD, pi co-proc

That's mine, everything that i've been able to test is working after a few repairs to the laserdisc player.

Had an offer of £1200 which i almost accepted, but then had another email from somebody who should know saying it's worth £1500 to £3000 as there are only around 25 working systems left in the world.
I thought it would be sub £1000
Got a recent wedding to pay for so i need to leave it on Ebay.
The new wife is now glad i didn't get rid of all the old computers when she told me to.

The pictures aren't very good, i will take home a decent camera tonight and take some better ones.

Just for the record, Ebay have removed the listing because i mentioned about not accepting Paypal for collections.

They've not got solution for the scam where somebody pays with Paypal, collects the item and then a few weeks later files a item not received claim.
As they collected it there is no proof it was received by the buyer so Paypal give them their money back !

But Ebay still remove listings where you say you won't take Paypal.

Oh well, they've lost the fees they would have got on it.

I just ask people to log on and mark as received before they leave with the item.

Nice to see a circuit made with 'real electronics' and hand-soldered rather than the ubiquitous surface mount stuff of today. :D

At first glance, it looks like a clock generator, and two sets of econet terminating circuits. Dunno what the relay does - disconnects the "UUT"/unit under test from the "tester" unit?

For the ST506 afficionados, ££££ but maybe worth asking if the seller will split the lot?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JOB-LOT-X-10- ... Swy6VZyCXj
  • WE ST506 podule (though no sign of any cables)
    two ST255 drives
two other ST506-type (3.5"), one with Arc mounting brackets (the small ones WE used to provide)
and some IDE kit
  • WE IDE podule with 2.5" drive onboard
WD drive, looks like an IDE ribbon rather than ST506
plus an A310/A440 floppy in a cradle (worth half the price of the lot by itself, according to some pricing methods!)
plus a 5.25" floppy and an Amstrad IDE interface
Running RISCOS: A5000, A540, R140, RiscPC, RPi B
Running *nix: SGI Fuel & Indigo2, RPi2, x86, amd64, RiscPC, A540, R140

Beebmaster also has one http://www.beebmaster.co.uk/Econet/ETB1.html

I asked him to make copies of the software to put on the web, and his response, after the auction ended (of course), was:

> Sorry it’s now sold

So I replied:
---
Waiting to reply until the auction is over then saying 'sorry' for not wanting to do something I asked you, is disingenuous. You could still make the copies for on PC or even BBC disk. Why don't you try this sort of response on more stupid people next time? You don't want to do the effort, fine, just say so, not this bullshit.
---

I hate bullshitters, so I won't do business with this person in future should he ever have anything of interest to me.

And in case you wonder: I have no more time for BS in my life, I've seen it all, I've heard it all, people need to learn some manners. I am not going to be friendly to people who tell me BS or give inane responses (also on this forum)...
