One of the disks has the folder unixhost - is this for iX?
Only in as far as it's a unix host - doesn't have to work with iX
 :o :( Thanks, I was assuming that the listing description was relevant not presumed.

Mind you ...... looks rusty on the back!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Acorn-R260-R ... SwJWNe~FVq
And the CPU card seems to be missing.
Think it's there it's just hidden by the back plane metal.
Was outbid, anyone on here win it?

I wonder why.
Still, it's not quite as early as mine so I won't be bidding :)

Is the serial number actually accurate in as much as it is genuinely low? I have seen a number of different serial number formats on beebs so while it may be low for that manufacturer it may not signify a low order in the overall production run?

I only know of three issue two beebs, so they don't seem too unlikely.

:o Well preserved A3000 with Watford ARM3 upgrade ;-

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Acorn-Archim ... SwNs5fJAeH

It'll probably sell for over £400 I'd have thought!

BNIB pack of ten 16 hard sector 5.25" floppies.

Listed as "BBC compatible" but actually 16 hard sector discs. I messaged the seller to suggest they change the title - but if you're after some hard sector floppies you might want to watch this one.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Box-of-10-Fa ... 4902.l9144

edit: relisted https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Box-of-10-Fa ... SwWplfSjyN

This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

There's a clutch of RISC iX documentation appeared on eBay just now. Desktop guide / user guide / admin guide. For those who may wish to complement their hardware collection with dead tree.

A RISC PC mis-listed as an Archimedes:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Acorn-Archim ... SwHuhfU8P2

Decently low starting price, looks like it'll clean up well. Could be a good project for someone. I'd ask for photos of the battery area of the motherboard before putting in a bid...

That was a pretty good bundle. Three-slice RiscPC, two A5000s, an AKF85 (I think) and another 14" monitor, an Electron plus games, loads of software, all for 350 quid. I missed out by a minute! Hope somebody on here managed to nab it.

Note that the listing does say it's been stored in a garage, and that there's damp damage to the box, so be a little careful!

And who knows what damage there is to the motherboard from battery leak, there are no inside photos shown.
