I have two orders at PCBWay and I expect them to arrive in the second week of October. So I expect to ship them in the second half of October.

The board arrived just before the weekend.

It is working flawlessly. I am happy that I'm able to reduce the dependence of the Electron on my PC by downloading games directly onto the Electron from a remote web server. I am even more happy that I am able to print text directly from the Electron onto my HP laser printer.

Working on it, started on the back part, a few gotchas on the way so far but enjoying the design, using FreeCAD for the design, good for solid modeling.

Well the frist working prototype of the case is here. With Logo and holes for LED's.

Stl file attached. Printed in Cream PLA. The case doesn't have any clips to keep it together, but is a slight interfereance fit on the pegs inside.

Need to buy a dual head printer then can bling out the text.....

Model created in FreeCAD, and Acorn logo was generated from jpeg to svg in Inkscape.

It managed twice to start printing but after 5-10 minutes there was no filament coming out of the nozzle so printing failed. Even manual extrude of filament didn't work. So I guess my printer is ready for the garbage bin

In principle yes i could print a few cases off, basic cost would be £3's plus PnP. Takes around 57g of PLA, and 10hours of printing time, which on my printer is around 1kwh. Did some tests on this to calculate a basic costs some months back. Problem in general with 3D printing is the time taken to print things out.

My printer estimated 2h45 for printing the front side. For what it's worth if it can't print for five minutes

I had a quick look around tge Internet, it seems getting 3D parts printed from .STL files is as hard as selecting the best 3D Printer. There is alot of companies offering print services.

I looked a wbsite called treatstock.co.uk, who gave a list of 3D Print Bureaus, the cheapest top 4 gave a price for 10 cases, of $67.19 with free delivery on two companies.

Unit price of $6.72

The web site is supplying the price in dollars even though the companies are in the UK, so price in UKP is £5.03
