You're welcome to trade Acorn-related stuff with other forum members here - the rule of thumb to follow when trading, is that items or services offered should be of interest to our Acorn community. Do NOT use multiple accounts - please trade with your regular (and only) forum account. If you're giving items away, please make it clear if you would be unhappy with the recipient selling on some or all of the items. Similarly, please ensure that the giver is comfortable with you re-selling items you have accepted as a gift. We cannot be held responsible for what happens in these trading forums or for deals done via PM. This must be done at your own risk. If you aren't comfortable with this - make the trade via an alternative site which can apply safeguards of their own. Be sensible - if someone approaches you to trade via PM who is not posting in the public forums, this may be a sign that they are not entirely what they seem. Please report it to the moderators if you receive an unsolicited message from anyone suspicious, so that it can be investigated and hopefully stop anyone being taken advantage of. Brand new and unused (as far as I know*) ICS hard drive upgrade still in its original shipping box. No instructions, however, I think I have a pdf I can print out.

This would have been for pre A3000 machines.

* I opened the interface - it’s all there including LED and blue-tac for LED fixing.

£50 plus P&P at cost.
Does it include HDD? If still available, I'd love this please [-o<

I bought one of these from ICS around 1991...and it would be the second last thing I need to recreate exactly my long lost A310....

Then I'll just need a 36MHz ARM3 to complete the computer.

The HDD had a little magic smoke containment issue.

Magic Smoke escaped.
Anyone like to hazard a guess as to the original component value. It is a Seagate ST3630A.

@steve3000, are you still interested in the podule. I only claimed it as no one else seemed interested. With or without the drive caddy/metalwork? Make me an offer. (Feel free to take it to PM)

It's a Tantulum capacitor, probably the same value as the same sized tantalums that can be seen elsewhere on the board (probably 10µf or 47µf ?). The capacitance value isn't really that critical. The voltage should be twice the rail voltage to avoid that happening again. When you get a new part, remember that the orange marking is the positive side unlike electrolytics that mark the negative pole. I would consider swapping out those other 4 tantalums while you are at it.

Bryce.
