FS: 16-bit IDE podules

Post by IanS »

16-bit IDE V4, these will fit into the backplane of any machine with a full-size podule bus. (e.g. A3x0/A4x0/A540/A5000/A7000/RPC). They have a 44-pin IDE connector for laptop style connection or for DOM's. They will also work (or at least they do for me) in an A305/A310 without a backplane.
If fitted into a machine without a backplane, the jumper link on JP3 must be removed, and the +5v red cable from the power supply connected to J4.
They also have provision for a 40-pin connector, though this is not populated, and if populated you can't easily use a right angle connector as pin 1 is towards the middle of the board.

edit: Please send a Private message (PM) if you can, no need to fill up this thread with requests. Please provide a postal address, so I can work out the postage. I'll update the title when I run out.

edit: Your machine needs to be running RISC OS 3 or later.

edit: V4 version removes the GAL, and the flash is reprogrammable in the machine.

Podule only £20. Add £5 for a formatted 1GB Disk Module (DOM). Postage at cost. (UK only, to avoid trips to the post office)

Hey,

These would be ideal for my project. Any chance I could I go for 4 with the memory module DOM for each? If not, 2 would be cool.

Thanks!

Paul.

I'd love two of these, each with the DOM as well. If you could let me know where and how to send the money.

Thanks, and thanks for making stuff like this

Hi Ian,

I'm hoping to have a few more built for the weekend of the Abug event. If there are any left after that weekend, I'll list them here.

Hi Ian,

Just PM'd you with new address and to inform you I've paid but the web interface seems to be playing up. Not sure if the PM went or if it's stuck in the outbox.

let me know if you got it.

Cheers,
Mike.

Ian, I'd love a board with a DOM if one is still available, but I've only just opened my stardot account and can't PM yet. It's for an A410/1. If I could reserve one that would be great!

I can reply to messages really quickly.

I would like one as my Watford IDE Podule is pretty much dead (Doesn't detect anything anymore). I cannot PM as I have been a lurker for too long and not posted too much so far.

Thanks
