You're welcome to trade Acorn-related stuff with other forum members here - the rule of thumb to follow when trading, is that items or services offered should be of interest to our Acorn community. Do NOT use multiple accounts - please trade with your regular (and only) forum account. If you're giving items away, please make it clear if you would be unhappy with the recipient selling on some or all of the items. Similarly, please ensure that the giver is comfortable with you re-selling items you have accepted as a gift. We cannot be held responsible for what happens in these trading forums or for deals done via PM. This must be done at your own risk. If you aren't comfortable with this - make the trade via an alternative site which can apply safeguards of their own. Be sensible - if someone approaches you to trade via PM who is not posting in the public forums, this may be a sign that they are not entirely what they seem. Please report it to the moderators if you receive an unsolicited message from anyone suspicious, so that it can be investigated and hopefully stop anyone being taken advantage of. 16-bit IDE podules -SOLD OUT
Due to my mis-reading the market I have number of 16-bit podules available, that nobody seemed to want. In this thread (viewtopic.php?f=8&t=16107 ) I listed 16-bit podules with right-angle or normal connectors. I had 5 of each, and sold 5 of whatever people wanted. None of the normal connectors were sold. I assumed there must be some people with backplane-less A3xx machines that could use an IDE podule, I was wrong.
So I still have five 16-bit IDE podules with normal connectors.
Possible uses.
Use with a 40-way IDE cable to a real hard disc.
On the rear connector of an A3000, with a CF card adapter. I can supply a 512MB DOM and adapter card which can go in a normal podule slot, or on the back of an A3000. Without a backplane in an A3xx motherboard. (This was my original plan for these cards, but no takers last time)
Something else I haven't thought of.
Anyone interested?
Price is £20 each, or £25 with the DOM and adapter board. 40-pin 128MB DOMs are also available for £3, which plugs straight in.
(The 512MB DOM is a 44-pin laptop style connector, the connector on the podule is a 40-pin .1" pitch connector, this is why the adpater board is required.)
Postage at cost will be added to all prices.
1. markdryan + 512MB DOM
2. number-one + 512MB DOM.
3. dangardner + 512MB DOM.
4. timw + 512MB DOM.
5. stevebubs + 512MB DOM.

Could you put my name down for one + a 512MB DOM + adapter board?

What are you going to plug this into?number-one wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 5:34 pmInterested by one, £25 with the DOM and adapter board. How much to send to France ?
A3010 4 MB Ram
These won't work in an A3010, they only work on an A3000 as it has a full-size podule on the rear, A3010/A3020 or A4000 don't have this.

Re: 16-bit IDE podules
Interested in one with DOM and adapter board please.
Re: 16-bit IDE podules
I'll check the size of the package and workout some postage rates later (I need to weight all the bits together).

I'm interested in one with the 512MB DOM and adapter, please!

I'd be interested in the board + DOM adaptor too if it's not too late..

Re: 16-bit IDE podules
I sent a PM (including an email address) a week ago, which is still unread, I think that is a more than generous amount of time to wait for a reply.
So I still have one IDE card up for grabs, anyone want it?
Re: 16-bit IDE podules
Sorry Ian I didn't think to check my PM's. I've gotten back to you but if you'd prefer to offer it to someone else that's understandable.
Re: 16-bit IDE podules
Interesting, I always assumed the default forum setting was to send an email when a PM was received. Did you not get an email?
I haven't seen any email to the address I PM'd, so I still need to know where you are to work out the postage.

Ian, charlewi currently does not have PM privileges, so he can’t reply via PM. I don’t know if this also affects the forum in regards to email notifications.
@charlewi please contact the administrators by using the “contact us” / envelope icon at the bottom of the page.

I know, that's why I PM'd with an email contact address.1024MAK wrote: ↑Tue Feb 05, 2019 5:44 pmIan, charlewi currently does not have PM privileges, so he can’t reply via PM.
Re: 16-bit IDE podules - 1 LEFT
Someone else should have it, it's my fault I missed the reply and I have more than enough Acorn hardware, as my other half would attest to in no uncertain terms
Mark, thanks - will do in any case.

Re: 16-bit IDE podules - Still 1 Left
Ian,
I keep missing you putting IDE adapters up for sale...
If there are any left (with DOM), please let me know.
Stephen
