You're welcome to trade Acorn-related stuff with other forum members here - the rule of thumb to follow when trading, is that items or services offered should be of interest to our Acorn community. Do NOT use multiple accounts - please trade with your regular (and only) forum account. If you're giving items away, please make it clear if you would be unhappy with the recipient selling on some or all of the items. Similarly, please ensure that the giver is comfortable with you re-selling items you have accepted as a gift. We cannot be held responsible for what happens in these trading forums or for deals done via PM. This must be done at your own risk. If you aren't comfortable with this - make the trade via an alternative site which can apply safeguards of their own. Be sensible - if someone approaches you to trade via PM who is not posting in the public forums, this may be a sign that they are not entirely what they seem. Please report it to the moderators if you receive an unsolicited message from anyone suspicious, so that it can be investigated and hopefully stop anyone being taken advantage of. Yes monitors are quite bulky. No more room in the car for delivery on Cambridge trip as I have my own stuff to get in there.

I could potentially hold them to be picked up from my house instead, but still means a trip to Sunny North Essex, and they would need to be picked up sooner rather than later.

I've got a couple of Commodore Amiga A500s, boxed (although a bit tatty).

Both have trapdoor expansions, neither have been tested recently.

Collection only, will post some pictures later.

Both gone - Sydney & Mark via Elmister
I got the lovely A500 on Sunday when I met Dave for a coffee. Just want to say thanks to all those involved in getting it to me so:
TopBanana - thanks for the amiga, she will be loved.
Elminster - thanks for getting it Cambridge for me.
Dave - thanks for brining it oop North.

I've taken a dremel to the drive bay and installed a gotek. Next I'll be needing a scart cable, mouse, second joystick, hard disk interface, memory upgrade and a moon on a stick. Best get saving.

Once I'm finished it I might have a go in Amos or Blitz Basic. I tried learning 68k in my 20's but never really put the effort in.

AMOS yes. I had AMOS PRO on the Amiga. I still think one of the best documented and easiest to use languages ever. I wrote a comms program to based on TALK on the VMS. Got levels and allsorts. But being a poor student the comms method of choice was a 10+meter parallel serial cable (forget exactly). But it worked.
