Monsters and Battle of Britain on disc. Battle of Britain *verifies ok and boots and runs but gives an out of room error on my beeb so not sure about its working status. There are three games on the disc only Blockade runs without error.

Monsters runs fine.

Some magazines and a couple of books. Don’t really want to split so as to avoid Mrs Boffin going to the post office too often...

P&p only.

Edit - the disc user magazine has a cover disc with the various bits of software on it which seems to work ok (*verify and loaded several of them).

Some cassettes and a disc game.

The four games in the first photo have all loaded.

I could not get the language tapes to load or Knight Lore sadly. However Knight Lore’s case and instructions are in reasonable shape and may be of use to someone.

Edit - I tried loading the language tapes using the DIN connection on the tape player rather than the ear socket and both loaded fine!

French Mistress - not as exciting as I had hoped. :?
A4F99E17-A019-47CA-9963-AE89F1D40244.jpeg
White knight loaded ok but the volume had to be just so.

Waterloo (40 track disc) loaded fine. The case has been a bit crushed at some point.

£5 plus p&p (Hunchback is quite cool!)

Just found and added ‘Yes Prime Minister’. Not tested.

Edit - added Castle of Riddles (with clue sheets) and a Welcome cassette. Both load ok and are in reasonable condition.

A generic joystick! At least they tried to do beeb colours.

£5 plus p&p.

It wasn’t working when it arrived but I cleaned up the contactors and reattached them and now all is well.

Hopefully the selotape will last another 30 years! The handle has yellowed somewhat.

This is switch based so not much use for Elite...

ANF03 cassette player. I have run a head cleaner through this and spend some time cleaning the pinch roller.
I have never tested saving with this but it loads fine.
It is missing a little paint on the front, under the plastic by the looks of it.

Another ANF03! This one is in pretty good condition. There are a few scuffs on it as can be seen. I have run the head cleaner through it a few times and cleaned the pinch roller.
I have tested loading a few games. It came with a power lead and DIN to DIN lead both of which are included. You will need to plug something into the ear socket though as otherwise the noise still comes out!
I think it also came with the instruction book. If I can find it I will put it in.

All of the remaining games are now combined into a single lot - thats the Monsters disc and all the cassettes etc.

I am also adding a copy of Exile. This boots fine on a Master in 40T mode but not on my model B using the same disc drive. The model B does have a turbo MMC installed - not sure if that causes problems?

Exile is not complete - it is missing the manual but has the story book. Ideal for getting past the copy protection! There is a clue sheet and what looks like a photo copied map.

All of the games including Exile £30 plus p&p.

Ultra Intelligent Machine, Database and Wordhunt (untested at the mo). Plus discs below.

£25 plus p&p - probably £4 to the UK.

I actually bought UIM specifically but just didn’t get into it. I’m lacking space so it has to go. I have tested it on 40 track with a Master as shown below. The screen shots are poor as the sun is behind the monitor.

Also included is Acornsoft Database and Wordhunt. The database disc is tested to the main menu and includes the instruction book. Wordhunt is currently untested but will do so if I find a spare 20 minutes.

Adding Aviator, Repton - Around the World in 40 Screens (disc only), Opus utility disc and Topologika education disc to above bringing it up to £25 plus p&p.

Aviator tested to game running (40T). Opus tested to verify command (run on the disc itself) and Topologika tested to first game.

Re: Having a clear out

Post by Lardo Boffin » Sat Aug 11, 2018 10:46 pm

I have been thinking about this one for a while now. Since downsizing I only have space to put out one computer at a time and I think we all know what brand that is going to be... I have not switched on my Apple much recently and don’t really see that I will have time to do so in the foreseeable future. Add that to my lack of storage and its not looking good - I don’t want this to end up in the loft getting ruined or at best buried in a cupboard never being used. Both are a waste.
So I think it is time to let it go. Unfortunately as I bought all of this stuff (admittedly at very good prices considering the lol price these command on eBay) I can’t sell it on ridiculously cheaply but it will be very well priced.

I have:-

Apple IIe with 128K of RAM, super serial card (and cables, somewhere...) and VGA upscaler (http://www.a2heaven.com/webshop/index.p ... uct_id=142) plus VGA cable. The upscaler produces almost emulator quality output on my VGA enabled TV. The standard RF output gave me a migraine.
The case has scratches to the left of the logo and more or less on opposite side.
There are also two Apple disc drives connected via a disc interface card (and a spare disc interface card).

A Microsoft Softcard (Z80 / CPM card and also the first piece of hardware MS ever made if Wikipedia is to be believed).

Pascal OS discs / manuals.

A bunch of other manuals.

A number of copy / backup discs (i.e. non original) including DOS, Prince of Persia and ADTPro (to allow you to download software from a PC to the Apple drives via the super serial card).

This all works although I have hardly used the Z80 card or Pascal stuff. Again, not enough time.

The Apple does run warm and in the warmer weather we have been having recently it crashes out if you run it with the lid on. Without it is fine - probably too many expansion cards in there... These were somewhat renowned for this hence people making system savers (basically a fan that sits on the side of the Apple - Google image search: "Apple II" "System Saver" -- http://www.google.com/search?tbm=isch&q ... 20Saver%22)

Gone.

Apple IIe, 128K RAM, Super Serial card, VGA scaler, manuals and two disc drives with all cables £280 plus p&p.
I appreciate this is a lot for this site so I am assuming normal payPal for this (i.e. you get buyer protection) rather than friends and family. I can list it on eBay for extra protection but will have to add a few pounds (probably 20). P&p will be fairly high as this is large and heavy and may require multiple shipments.

MS Softcard £140 plus p&p. This is a boxed softcard, two hefty manuals and the original discs. The label has come lose on the 16 sector disc. I have created copies of the original 16 sector master disc using the CP/M utilities and have formatted a few blank discs.

I have listed the Softcard on eBay (https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-II-Micro ... 3403976426) and will list the Apple tomorrow thanks to some well timed £1 final fee offers.
If anyone on here is interested and would rather buy through eBay for added protection then just PM your eBay id and put in an offer of the same price as on here and I will accept it.
