Having a clear out

Post by Lardo Boffin » Fri Jun 01, 2018 8:25 pm

Hello all

Having moved and unpacked most of my stuff I keep finding things I didn't really know (remember) I had, don’t need or just don’t have space for anymore. Time for a clear-out!

Please PM if interested in anything. Happy to combine / open to offers. This lot needs to go.

Edit - list of stuff:-

Iomega zip drive cases and box - available
Added Ultra Intelligent Machine, Database and Wordhunt - available

Edit - combined all of the games and added one
Hunchback etc. / Battle of Britain / Exile / Monsters disc - gone
ANF03 cassette player (second one) - gone
ANF03 cassette player - gone
Generic joystick - gone
Magazines and books - gone
Various Beebug magazines - gone
Extenders - gone
Breadbin C64 - gone
Z80 discs - gone
Micro primer - gone
Beebdos - gone
Electronics in action - gone
Logo - gone
Disc Elite box and manuals - gone
Forth boxed - gone
Hobbit disc - bit dodgy so on hold pending further checks

More to come when I do some more sorting.

No photos to hand but I have a few empty Iomega zip drive cases and a mini holder that holds 4 or 5 I think. Will add photos on Monday when I find them. Yours for p&p.

A breadbin C64 in fairly good condition with PSU, boxed joystick and RF lead. The unit is in quite nice condition with just some small cable marks in the right hand corner. I have not opened the case.
I let this run today for 8 hours and all is still well but no guarantees of longevity (obviously at this age)! I have tested all keys, loading from tape and a cartridge. The screen shots are via RF cable. A scart is better and tend to cost a tenner or less.
£40 plus p&p - a courier due to size and weight. Please don’t put on eBay...

Edit - I used contact cleaner on the joystick to get it going. Seems ok now.

A set of 7 Z80 co proc utility discs in very nice condition. I have only tested them as far as loading the verify program from disc one and then running it on the other discs - all of which were ok. I also loaded the Z80 BBC Basic from disc one.
I am open to suggestions on any further tests for these! I’m almost certainly never going to use them.
I paid £33 so am happy to pass them on at that plus p&p (royal mail small parcel being about £4 I think).

They will be sent in a TRS80 disc box.

Not tested this to be honest...

Yours for p&p. Too large for large letter so small parcel at £4.

A bit of IBM / beeb nostaligia. BeebDOS.

Untested as I don’t have an appropriate IBM...

Yours for p&p. Probably large letter if not too heavy.

Honey logo by Dr Watson. I think this loads but will have to try and find a cable for my tape player. Comes with a rather substantial book...

Yours for £5 plus p&p. Most likely small parcel at around £4.

If Pau1ie changes his mind about the Logo .... I would be interested but nothing else catches my fancy. Dont have some SWTPC 6800 kit squirrelled away?, not easy getting that in the UK.

To come (when I have time!):-

Elite (cassette disc version) box and two manuals only. Pretty good condition. Ideal if your box is in worse condition! Need to find it and photo it.

Acornsoft Forth (with ROM). As soon as I can test it! I somehow managed to end up with two of these. I suspect it was because so much of my stuff was hidden in drawers that I forgot I had it.

Hobbit disc version. Nice condition and pretty sure it is working but need to test it. I won’t work on my Master - I think I read somewhere that it only likes the earlier disc controller chips. Which also ruled out my Opus Challenger.

Elite box - actually for the disc version. £5 plus p&p - probably £4 as too big for large letter.
Some eejut has written in the back of the manual as per the photo.

The hobbit doesn’t work consistently. Sometimes it boots fine and sometimes not all at. When it runs it is fine for a while and then reports a system error.

At some point I will test with another beeb but don’t currently have one available with a disc interface other than the test beeb.
