For Sale: A3020/A4000 & A5000 overclockable RAM

Post by cmorley » Mon Jan 13, 2020 5:39 pm

Now the open source RAM project is tested working I am going to be assembling some. If you want to overclock your machine they seem to be a good prospect.
A3020 RAM thread
A5000 RAM thread

Since the original backer of the project is buying a bulk order I can offer the cards for £30 as there is an economy of scale. This one and only batch will be built to order - I am not going to hold stock and sell them as an ongoing item. I won't sell any on eBay... stardot only.

If you're going to the next ABUG there is a fighting chance I can get your board to you there.

I won't sell kits but I could supply RAM if anyone wants to build some in the future. PCBs from any Chinese fab and all the other parts are readily available from RS.

Can you put me down for an A4000 one. I already have a 4MB upgrade, but might have a go at the overclock.
Thanks.

Hi Chris

I would like:
  • two suitable for A3020 machines,
  • one suitable for A4000 machines, and
  • two suitable for A5000 machines.
So that’s a total of five please [-o<

Thanks

If you have them ready for January’s ABug, that would be great, but not essential, as I’m not in a rush. So don’t worry if it’s too tight timing wise.

Mark

I had enough parts to build the ABUG attendees boards and hand deliver them this weekend. See the A3020 thread for news on fitment and testing in 1024MAK's A3020 (spoiler alert \:D/ )

I will assemble the remaining orders over the next couple of weeks and PM people when they are ready.

Anyone still wanting to get on the list you still have a few days. I can't order the PCBs until the Chinese Lunar New Year holiday is over (next week) so you have a little time left. I won't be doing these as an ongoing product.
