Wow - I wonder if that's the one they used for the Music For The Masses album? (1987)

I always assumed it was the studio's computer, but it seems not.

Just looks like a SCSI drive in a box. Nothing very BBC about it. You can see a SCSI terminator plugged in the back.

Probably used with a Cumana SCSI podule on an Archimedes.
