This is a pretty decent place to start.

https://github.com/hoglet67/MMFS/wiki

Most problems are SD card related, try a different one if all looks miserable. Smaller is generally better. Full size is generally better than micro in my experience. FAT16 is a better format than FAT32, anecdotally speaking.

It's an art, not a science ;)

Do you already have a SD card filesystem ROM (e.g. MMFS or SmartSPI?)

The latest versions of MMFS and SmartSPI work with:
- FAT16
- FAT32
- SD cards (upto 2GB)
- SDHC cards (4GB-16GB)

Just avoid huge (32GB+ and/or SDXC cards) as these probably won't work.

To get started, download a stock BEEB.MMB file, e.g. this one:
https://github.com/hoglet67/Ice40Beeb/r ... EB.MMB.zip

Unzip and copy BEEB.MMB to a blank formatted card.

Board £4.50
ROM £2

Most people will require a board + ROM. If you can burn your own ROMs then you can save £2.
Do you no longer sell the ribbon cable, or is that now included with the board?

The cable is now integral to the board. It's s tiny bit trickier to put together but it makes more sense.

Hello. I sent an email to the address listed in the first post this morning enquiring about obtaining one of the products. Was the right way to contact?

I only use MMFS myself so I'm not in a position to be able to advise on other systems - but I'm sure they all have merit. If you're not sure which MMFS is right for you I can advise, just tell me what computer you will use this with.
I have a BBC model B, with dfs 1.20, but no disk drive. Do I need a ROM? If so, which one should I order?

Thank you.

@Bat
These are ostensibly the same as the turbo MMC you've already got (I think? albeit with a different ROM) - you can just swap the ROMs and get the same functionality (but it's basically the same deal with the single file containing disc images).

Hi,
Thanks Daniel, I wanted a second one for my other machine. I think I'll get the card reader off eBay and DIY it. I need a few ROMs blowing so I'll ask someone nicely
Cheers,
Gavin :)

Declaring interest in a board and ROM should any more become available.

If sirmorris doesn't do any more of his excellent boards, I have a few of my boards spare, see here.
