Some of the games on volumes 1 and 2 weren't released for the Electron. I imagine that, when they compiled a Collection for the Electron, Superior wanted to include the "best" games for that machine and so the ones on volume 3 overlapped with those on the other volumes out of necessity. There wouldn't have been much point in releasing it for the BBC Micro.

ssv12.jpg
so on 1:
Syncron
Repton, Karate Combat
Star Striker, Airlift, BMX on the moon, Wallaby, Smash & grab

so on 2:
Kix
Repton2, Deathstar
Space Pilot, Missile Strike, Battle Tank, Crazy Painter, Overdrive

so on Electron 3 only (never on beeb):

Does anyone have a good way of getting rid of the 'Access violation' on ADFS (EL) files so can copy
have tried everthing, even using a disc editor on sector 2&3 (being cat) & *ACCESS :0.$.REPTON ELR
but stilll no joy :x
Really only after the Repton three files, as must have a mover with them to get to &E00
would also like to check against the other files, to confirm no changes.....

done it!

1) make another blank ADFS disc
2) save dummy files to it with same filenames
3) use disc editor to note the hex of each letter of filename
4) using backup disc of original, edit the EL files so names in hex are same as dummy2
5) CTRL -BRK, *ADFS /*MOUNT 0
6) save off files to another disc

If you're using a disc editor, you could just reset the top bit of 5th character of the filename to clear the 'E' flag.

^that does not work

I read about it, as asked this before many moons before, best answer was from BillC :
"first two characters of [!B]OOT in the virtual catalogue, at &C405. I'm certain i read it somewhere, but it's easy enough to test which high bits are set to give the file it's attributes -
1ST [R]EADABLE
2ND [W]RITEABLE
3RD [L]OCKED
4TH [D]IRECTORY
5TH [E]XECUTABLE"

as it's not just the 5th char (still says"Access violation"), as most chars are actually something else......
