Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Hi,
Does anyone have any "COMPUTING TODAY" magazines from 1984 or 1985? (I don't need Jan, Mar, or Jun 84)
Does anyone have "PERSONAL COMPUTING TODAY" magazines OCT 82 or DEC 82?, or any from 1983 (I don't need January) or any from 1984 (I don't need Jan or Jun), or any from 1985 (I don't need Feb).
Thanks!
Lee.

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Can you check for the Gremlin ROM manual as well, please?:

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Cheers Dave,
I specifically am looking to see if they printed any corrections to "Labyrinth" from Issue 1.
Thanks

OK noted! Have set myself a reminder to check on Sunday.
Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
It's your lucky day, Lee!
Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Thanks, but I believe Lee has already seen those corrections — they’re from another issue.
What we’re specifically after are any corrections that were printed in issue 3.
(Correct me if I’m wrong, Lee..!)

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
The 3D part of the game seems to work, but I can't seem to look at the 2D representation of the map, and make sennse of it in the 3D world.

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Ah sorry you're right, the corrections I posted were from Issue 2.
Have just checked Issues 3 and 5 have no Labyrinth corrections featured. Issue 4 has five corrections which I believe you're aware of.
Nothing in issues 5-8 either.

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Yes but can you actually navigate through the maze and find the exit?
Does the 2D map actually correspond to the 3D maze?

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
I got to the end, & a screen came saying done, play again Y/N or something on those lines...
don't know if map corresponded , but done it

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Can anyone explain the 2D map? Which is supposed to be the start? And the exit?
I can't translate what I see to the 3D map (even though I can navigate the 3D map)...
Lee.

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Hi,
Does anyone have "Popular Computing Weekly" volume 5, issues 34, 35, and 36?
(21st August 86, 28th August 86 and 4th September 86)
If so, could you take photos of the game listings for any BBC/Electron games please.
The centre for computing history have these issues, so if anyone does any voluntary work down there, it would be great if you could get the scans/photos from there...
There should be the first and second parts of "Mushroom Mania" by Jonathan Temple (issue 36 and maybe 35 as well)
And, the final part of "Space War" by Mark Gidley (issue 34)
There could also be other listings...
Thanks!
Lee.

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Hi,
Does anyone have the book "The Giant Book Of Arcade Games for your BBC Micro"?
I am aware of a scan on the net but I think there are a couple of mistakes in it.
If anyone has it, it is a photo of the listing for "Minefield" that I need at this stage.
Thank you,
Lee.

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
I have "The giant book of games" (Not arcade). The listing is across 5 pages. P119-123.
I will do a scan later if this is the listing you want.

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Hi Paul,
Yes that is the book.
8bs had the title wrong.
I will alter it on bbcmicro.co.uk now...
A scan, or some decent photos of that listing would be great
Thanks
Lee.

Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
The scans are rather unnecessarily large, so I put them on google drive
Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
So what is the thing with line 270? Looks like it was corrected by hand before the book was printed!
Re: Missing Magazines from the 80s
Thanks Paul
Frustratingly, the original looks the same as the OCR I have been using.
Lines 330/340 and 270 are clearly wrong.
270 should have L instead of L% and the < should be a >
