Missing German MOS ROM?

Post by TobyLobster » Sun Aug 30, 2020 5:46 pm

The NAUG says the machine type as read by INKEY(-256) or OSBYTE 129,0,255 should be &FC for the West Germany MOS, but the ROM I have only changes the boot message. Is the documentation just wrong - or is there a missing German ROM out there somewhere? (I notice that NAUG also calls the US version "OS 1.10" which doesn't really tally with "OS A1.0" actually reported.)

The New Advanced User Guide added a lot of information to the AUG, but in the process lost quite a few chunks (User Printer Vector and NETV stuff), and introduced many many errors. My copy is covered in annotations.
