The Orb, A&B Computing

Crashes at line 660, which isn't surprising...

Code: Select all

660IFR2$="DROP"PROC_DROP:GOTO@@@@
Suggest GOTO 440.

Hi,

Sorry to jump on your thread...

Did you get the listing for The Orb, or did you uncover it from a text adventure compilation?

I've been looking for the original listing from the Spring Supplement where this was first published, but to no avail

Any assistance in locating this would be gratefully received...

Hi jonybgood,
Can you give me any references to this Spring supplement?
According to acorn electron world there were 3 supplements, all released in Ocober/November.
Thanks

Lee.

Does anyone have a copy?

I've been after this for a while, and it is a thankless task I'm afraid... The link to Computer history museum is as close as one gets, it seems. I've enquired there and they don't have a copy, but they should - it's sadly gone missing, perhaps returned to the owner. But Harriet was most wonderfully helpful.

Sadly as a child I spent many a night keying that listing, hopefully, into an Acorn Electron, and it was Beeb only... Much to my frustration.

Has another cover scan, but my search continues...

How frustrating!
I will keep an eye out too.
I would like to know what other games were in there.
Does anyone have this magazine in their collection??

Lee.
