Time issue on *.?

Hi,

It seems that the time on the *. forums may be wrong, or has a strange interaction with IOS Safari.

With the time zone set to GMT, I'm seeing the times 1 hour ahead of reality (e.g. my post to the Co-Pro thread was reported as being at 1:15, when it is not yet 12:30 as I type this)

Is anyone else seeing the same?

Can the server time settings be checked?

Thanks

Michael

Have a read here, I suspect it will relate to your issue - you likely have something amiss in your Board Preferences regarding the main time zone or the DST setting.

Time is variable in the retro community.

It's possibly related, but I find that to get the time correct (i.e. 9:30, as it is on the wall clock now) I have to set my time zone to UTC-1, where it should be correct for UTC.

Once you set the time zone and click the "summer time/DST is in effect" button or unclick it (as appropriate), it works for me :D

It is the same on all the forums that are based on phpBB software that I am a member of.

And yes this was posted at 10:04 GMT.

Apologies for the late reply here, but I'll cop to the fact that the main board view for guests didn't actually have DST disabled until this past weekend when flynnjs reminded me the times were an hour out. The times are always recorded in the database correctly but every time the clocks change, the board needs it manually updating in both the administration settings for guest/logged out users (my job) and in every user's Board Preferences settings in the User Control Panel (everyone else's).

If it's not right when you're logged out, then feel free to give me a poke as it's probably me that's forgotten. ;)

Sam.
