Is my messages outbox broke

I have beentrying to PM another member but the message just sits in my outbox - is this correct......
I have sent a message to the admin but that may be stuck for the same reason.

You've done everything correctly.

A sent message will stay in your Outbox until it is read by (one of) the recipient(s).

Ah - thank you for the info, not like email then. I guess previous PMs were picked up very quickly so I assumed they were "sent".
