Suggestion: add "8-bit" and "32-bit" to some forum names

Post by Kazzie » Wed Mar 06, 2019 3:57 pm

(Prompted in part by this post.)

At the moment, we've got forums for hardware, software and emulators as sub-forums of two sections, 8-bit and 32-bit. But the "bit" bit isn't part of the sub-forums' names: this means that we've got two forums called "hardware", etc. The "root forum" name isn't displayed as prominently, and some threads end up being posted in the wrong forums.

Might it be worth adding a prefix of "8-bit" or "32-bit" to the sub-forums' names? (Or alternatively just to one set.) Then we're have forums explicitly called "8-bit Hardware" and "32-bit Hardware", which might cut down on moderators' work moving threads around.

Food for thought, perhaps.

Incidentally, if any forum member wants the moderators to move any posts, threads, or any similar editing, please use the report post system (the “!” icon in the top right corner) and tell us what the problem is, and what you suggest as a solution. You can report your own posts as well as posts by other members.

Indecently ...
That'd be a reason for reporting a post, all in itself! ;)
