Attachment types permitted

Post by AndyF » Fri Jul 20, 2018 4:29 pm

Although a decent range is present, .uef (tape files) is not.

Any chance of adding that please ? =D>

Mime type (as if you need to know) simply can be set at "application/octet-stream" I guess to make sure the browser tries to download it by default rather than open it. Maybe.

The usual trick if a particular type isn't accepted is just to zip it. I'll see about adding UEF though :)

edit: done :)

What is the allowed list? Is it shown somewhere?

Kind of. Click 'Attachments' then 'Add Files' as per normal, then when the browser file selection window opens (on a PC, unsure quite how a Mac handles this, very similar I expect) the 'allowed types' drop down you can view the types there. :)

may be should also allow Bitmap Image, as thats what BeebEm414 defaults to for capture screen for high scores!

Not a good idea to allow bmp, as that then allows uncompressed image files. As Daniel says, convert to png

Probably needs a feature request to give option in beebem to save as png as that is most popular web format after all the gif shenanigans

On the menu in beebem select:

File | Screen Capture Options | PNG Format

then select:

Options | Save Preferences

and you don't have to change it again.
