This seems to be slightly harder than the Electron version (either that or my reflexes aren't what they used to be over 30 years ago  ).

It took me 3 or 4 goes to get this score.

Got to Zone 9 on this try. Zone 4 boss with the "wall" of armoured spaceships repeats itself in Zone 8.

Good choice for the championship round! I always find zone 3 really difficult. Best so far: 30,220

I agree, it would be good for the HSC at ABUG but I have to wait until people haven't been playing it for a while. Rest assured it will show up sometime.

New score, still better than FourthStone's - 15,040

That's not a horrible score Richard. It actually takes some skill to get to that level......

I thought I'd have a little look back at the Electron version and see if it was easier as I never recalled Galaforce being as difficult as the Beeb version we're playing now. I had one go and scored 46820 (Zone 13). From what I can tell, the attack patterns are exactly the same but with some alien types substituted. The gameplay is a bit slower though (which is a godsend on Zone 3).

Another tiny step up...... 23,680 ...... random bombs did me in.

Has anyone else experienced the inability to input their name on the HS table within the game?

I've been fine so far. What I do get sometimes is the sound playing up a little if I leave the emulator on for a while without playing. This happens with all games though and is only a minor hindrance.

For the sound it's just a matter of turning the sound off on the emulator and back on again and you're good for a little while. I totally didn't expect the input issue but it may be because I left the emulator running for a very long time rather than shutting it down, giving the little bugs hope that they could disrupt the proceedings as planned.

So, I posted for the next season requesting games for season 14. It was supposed to be for this coming week.

Since no one has posted (even me) likely due to busyness I've altered the dates for the end of the week to have the 3 games in.

Are we still all happy to play? Do we need a hiatus from gaming for a bit?

Please give me your thoughts so that I'm not in a vacuum on this. Thanks folks.
