Damn, so close to fwibbler's score. Got to command 7 here, annoyingly I had enough points to get through to the next command, but there were ships all around me so I couldn't safely eject without risking a collision, and ended up with my ship exploding :(

Need to remember to eject a bit earlier on the later levels, and not take it so close to the wire if I have enough points to get through.
Still, this is my best ever score at this game, so can't complain.

That's exactly what happened to me this time. I got wiped out before I could react and hit the escape pod. And I'd done enough to make the next level too... 3131

Theres definately a large element of luck involved with this.
Sometimes you get nothing but plasma bolts firing at you and other times they just seem to line up for you to shoot them.
Anyway...

(Finally found the correct screenshot!)
Got to into the 4000's on command 1 with this one, then barely managed 80 on 2, got a few hundred each on 3 and 4 before getting slaughtered in seconds on command 5 with only 28 points.
Definately the best score I've ever had though (even BITD!).
