Yikes - not very good at this... 8350. I can hardly get past the wall with the barrier across the top, and at least half of the time the enemy planes just run in to me.

63750. What have people done about keys? Have you stuck with the trad mapping?

I try and use WASD and Enter for most games but some games don't like that combo so I revert to ZX /" Enter

I have been using Z X, Shift ] and Enter. I can strafe with Z X and Enter and then up and down are close to Enter when required - I don’t leave my fingers on up and down most of the time.

Very small increase but the good news it's at the delight of getting almost through level 2s second screen.

69850. I could see the end of level 3... but still no level 4.
Changing the keys to 'zx *? enter' is a must.
To kill the planes I take off a little bit then hammer fire while I fly hard left and down or hard right and down.
I find that the only way to reliably get through the force field is listen to the ssshhhh frequency, as it were... on the scale it's the first step of the higher ssshhhh. Three short taps on the up key get you to the right height.
Level 3 is very fast. You are the same but the enemy fire and planes are much faster.

I always use Z,X,L,(comma) and ; for fire (my enter key is a bit dodgy).

This is a nicely implemented version of Zaxxon, but I just can't get the hang of it!

A late starter here in my first comp. I could never get this game at all but had to give it a go after seeing the fine efforts being posted. So frustrating trying to get under the barriers but finally realised I was always too high. Altitude, that is! Got the first level but do it again???
